Brock Lesnar made a shocking return to WWE on Monday Night Raw, attacking Oba Femi in a dramatic segment that appears to set up a major rematch at Clash in Italy.
The segment began with Oba Femi making his way to the ring for an open challenge. Before the match could begin, the arena lights suddenly went out. Moments later, an unknown figure stormed the ring and launched a brutal assault on Femi.
When the lights came back on, the attacker was revealed to be Brock Lesnar.
“The Beast Incarnate” immediately overwhelmed Femi, delivering four consecutive F5s in the center of the ring. After the attack, Lesnar stared down the fallen star with a smirk before exiting up the ramp. Despite the damage, Femi managed to recover enough to glare back at Lesnar as the former WWE Champion left the arena floor.
Following the commercial break, WWE continued the storyline backstage. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce confronted Paul Heyman, questioning why Lesnar had returned after retirement paperwork had previously been filed on his behalf.
Heyman responded by presenting Pearce with a contract for a match between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi at Clash in Italy. According to Heyman, the contract already contained Lesnar’s signature and only required Femi’s approval to make the bout official.
Heyman then described the potential showdown as “the biggest rematch in history.”
WWE Previously Heavily Teased Lesnar’s Retirement
At WrestleMania 42 last month, Brock Lesnar suffered a quick loss to Oba Femi after being pinned following a devastating powerbomb. After the match, Lesnar removed his gloves and boots and left them in the ring — a symbolic gesture traditionally associated with retirement in professional wrestling.
In the weeks that followed, WWE also moved Lesnar to the Alumni section of its official website, further fueling speculation that his in-ring career had come to an end.
However, a recent report from PWInsider stated that Lesnar was still internally listed by WWE as an active performer, hinting that a return remained possible despite the retirement teases.
Lesnar’s comeback instantly reshapes WWE’s main-event landscape and adds even more momentum to Oba Femi’s rapid rise within the company. If the match at Clash in Italy is officially confirmed, it is expected to become one of WWE’s biggest attractions of the summer.
