Authorities in Texas have arrested former middle school teacher Haley Krista Radabaugh following allegations that she engaged in inappropriate online conversations with multiple students.
According to law enforcement officials, Radabaugh, 28, worked as an art teacher at Barbara Bush Middle School before being taken into custody on a child grooming charge, a third-degree felony under Texas law.
The arrest was carried out by the Denton Police Department after the Irving Police Department issued a warrant related to the investigation.
Court documents cited by local media allege that several students reported concerning interactions involving the teacher. Investigators claim Radabaugh exchanged inappropriate and suggestive messages with at least three middle school students through social media platforms.
According to the reported warrant, one student alleged that Radabaugh requested personal photos and sent flirtatious messages, including the use of affectionate language and emojis.
Police documents also reportedly state that she sent one student an image appearing to show herself after exiting a shower. Authorities noted that the image did not contain nudity but allegedly included visible bare shoulders and upper body features.
Investigators further stated that one student described feeling disturbed and emotionally distressed following the alleged conversations.
School district officials confirmed that Radabaugh is no longer employed by the district and stated that they are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
In a statement reported by local outlets, district representatives described the allegations as deeply troubling and said they are limited in what they can publicly discuss while the case remains active.
Radabaugh was booked into the Denton County Jail on May 15 before later being released on a $25,000 bond, according to jail records.
Authorities have not publicly confirmed whether additional charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
