Victor Wembanyama takes over! Spurs run away from the Thunder in Game 4, tying the Western Conference finals 2-2.

Victor Wembanyama delivered a masterclass performance in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals, leading the San Antonio Spurs to a decisive 103-82 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder and tying the series 2-2.

The Spurs set the tone early by running their offense through Wembanyama, who opened the game with a 3-pointer before adding two alley-oop dunks and a half-court buzzer-beater 3 to close the first half. By halftime, San Antonio had built a 47-38 lead, leaving the Thunder struggling to respond.

A 7-0 Spurs run early in the third quarter pushed the advantage further, and Oklahoma City never recovered. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sitting the entire fourth quarter to rest for Game 5, San Antonio coasted to the blowout victory.

Wembanyama finished with 33 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks on 11-of-22 shooting from the field and 3-of-7 from three-point range in just 31 minutes. Only Devin Vassell (13 points), Stephon Castle (13 points, 6 assists), and De’Aaron Fox (12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists) reached double figures for the Spurs.

The Thunder, missing Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell due to injuries, struggled to find rhythm. Gilgeous-Alexander had a rare off night with 19 points on 6-of-15 shooting, 7 assists, and 4 turnovers while finishing minus-18, the worst mark among starters. Oklahoma City shot just 33% from the field and 18.2% from three-point range (6-of-33) and committed 17 turnovers.

Spurs head coach highlighted Wembanyama’s leadership and defensive presence as the key difference. Despite not needing a historic stat line, Wembanyama’s dominance on both ends set the tone for the game.

The series now shifts back to Oklahoma City for Game 5 on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET (NBC, Peacock), where the Thunder will hope to have Williams and Mitchell back in the lineup to regain control.
