Although Taylor Swift is on Travis Kelce’s side, he is still not as well-liked as Patrick Mahomes.

He has yet to surpass his teammate’s following on social media

Despite his relationship with Taylor Swift thrusting him into the global spotlight and significantly boosting his popularity, especially among those unfamiliar with the NFL, Travis Kelce has yet to surpass the social media prominence of his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes.

As it stands, Mahomes commands an impressive following of six million on Instagram, while Kelce lags slightly behind with 4.6 million followers.

For some extra context, NFL legend Tom Brady boasts a staggering 14.5 million followers on the platform, so Kelce still has some way to go.

How Taylor Swift has boosted Travis Kelce’s popularity

While the numbers might not place them at the zenith of the social media hierarchy, it’s worth noting that, within the current NFL player landscape, Mahomes and Kelce reign up at the top.

Their on-field prowess, coupled with Kelce‘s high-profile connection to Swift, adds an intriguing layer to their social media dynamics.

“It’s quickly turning more serious,” a source told People about the romance between Kelce and Swift.

“They share a strong work ethic and have a huge appreciation for life and their careers, strong family bond and values.”

Travis Kelce to join Taylor Swift in tour

As Taylor Swift gears up for the next leg of her successful The Eras Tour in South America, Travis Kelce is reportedly making plans to join her on the road.

With the NFL season in full swing and the Kansas City Chiefs having a break in Week 10, Kelce intends to accompany Swift to Buenos Aires, Argentina, from November 9 through 11.

This decision allows the couple to spend time together amid their busy schedules, despite the challenges of the NFL season and Swift‘s touring commitments.

It might also further boost the tight end’s social media following, if he is spotted with the singer in this exotic location.
