Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary on May 19 with a sentimental nod to their royal wedding day through Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.
To mark the occasion, the brand highlighted its Signature Candle No. 519, inspired by the couple’s 2018 wedding. On Instagram, As Ever captioned the post:
“The feeling of warm sunshine and blue skies, surrounded by love and laughter. Celebrating 8 years of our founder @meghan and Prince Harry’s love story 💌.”
The post featured a carousel opening with an aerial photo of the newlyweds riding through Windsor in a carriage, followed by a shot of the candle burning beside a bouquet of white flowers. The candle’s name commemorates their May 19 wedding date, with “519” referencing the day and month. Launched as part of As Ever’s inaugural holiday collection in October 2025, the candle currently retails for $64 and features notes of Moroccan mint, cardamom, and tea leaves. Other candles in the As Ever line are inspired by Meghan’s birthday and the birthdays of their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
In footage shared to Meghan’s Instagram Stories on May 19, the family celebrated at home in California. Harry, Archie, and Lilibet serenaded Meghan with “Happy anniversary Mama and Papa,” as Harry presented a cake reminiscent of what was served at their 2018 royal wedding reception. The Duke also gifted Meghan a bronze sculpture of two cuddling penguins, a playful reference to their penguin-themed engagement party in 2017 and the traditional bronze gift given on an eight-year anniversary. On a nearby table glowed a white candle from Meghan’s As Ever line, believed to be the Signature Candle No. 519.
Meghan, who launched As Ever in spring 2025 as a curated line of shelf-stable food products, has since expanded the brand to include wines, candles, bookmarks, and a High Camp Supply flower collaboration. Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE in March 2025, she emphasized that she did not see herself as an influencer, saying:
“I see myself as an entrepreneur and a female founder, and if the brand ends up influential, then that’s great.”
The royal couple married in a fairytale ceremony at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, attended by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and other members of the royal family. On their wedding day, the Queen conferred upon them the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which they retained after stepping back from royal roles in the U.K. in 2020.
This celebration combined both family intimacy and a thoughtful connection to their public life, highlighting Meghan’s personal brand while honoring the couple’s shared history.
