For Jacy Jayne, May 27 will always hold a special place in her career.
One year after capturing her first NXT Women’s Championship, Jayne took to social media to reflect on the victory that transformed her career and set the stage for one of the most successful runs of her wrestling journey.
“The Day That Changed It All”
Jayne won her first NXT Women’s Championship on the May 27, 2025 episode of WWE NXT, defeating Stephanie Vaquer in a hard-fought match that lasted 13 minutes and 12 seconds.
The victory marked the 23rd title change in the championship’s history and represented the biggest singles accomplishment of Jayne’s career at the time.
On the one-year anniversary of the title win, Jayne shared an emotional message with fans.
“Happy 1 year to the day that changed it all for me,” Jayne wrote.
“Forever grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given, and the journey I’ve been on. Exactly 1 year later and I’m headed on my first European tour. This life is crazy & I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love wrestling.”
A Championship Run That Elevated Her Career
Following her victory over Vaquer, Jayne established herself as one of NXT’s top stars.
Her first reign lasted 151 days and included four successful title defenses before she eventually lost the championship to Tatum Paxley at Halloween Havoc.
While many champions struggle to regain momentum after losing a title, Jayne quickly fought her way back into the championship picture.
Jacy Jayne Captured the Title Twice
Jayne reclaimed the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Gold Rush on November 18, 2025, beginning a second successful reign.
Her second title run lasted 137 days and once again featured four successful defenses against some of NXT’s top competitors.
The reign finally came to an end at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 4, 2026, when Lola Vice defeated Jayne in a Triple Threat Match that also included Kendal Grey.
Despite losing the title, Jayne’s back-to-back championship reigns firmly established her as one of the defining stars of the NXT women’s division.
