Joey McIntyre is looking back on the relationships, memories, and milestones that have played an important role in his life, from his marriage and children to longtime friendships, beloved pets, and his enduring connection to Boston.

The New Kids on the Block singer recently reflected on the people, places, and experiences that continue to hold special meaning for him, sharing stories from both his personal and professional life.

A Love Story That Began in 2002

McIntyre reflected on his relationship with his wife, Barrett Williams, whom he met in 2002.

According to McIntyre, their relationship developed quickly. One year after meeting — on the same date — the couple got married.

Before their wedding, McIntyre proposed on the Venice walk streets, creating a romantic setting with rose petals and candles.

More than two decades later, the couple continue to build a life together while raising their family.

McIntyre also spoke about his three children: Griffin, Rhys, and Kira.

Describing them with affection, he called them his “gorgeous, heartwarming, pain-in-the-butt, can’t-live-without-them kids.”

He shared reflections on their personalities, interests, and growing talents, emphasizing the joy and challenges that come with parenthood.

Family remains one of the central focuses of his life outside of music and entertainment.

Life With Roxy and Kitty

In addition to his family, McIntyre discussed two longtime pets that have become important members of the household.

He reflected on life with Roxy, his Shih Tzu, and his cat, Kitty.

While the two animals did not immediately get along, McIntyre said they eventually learned to coexist, creating their own unique bond over time.

A Car With Special Meaning

Among the possessions that remain particularly meaningful to McIntyre is his 1993 convertible Mercedes-Benz.

He revealed that he still drives the vehicle, including trips to New Kids on the Block’s Las Vegas residency performances.

The car has remained part of his life for years and continues to hold sentimental value.

Keeping Boston Close

McIntyre also reflected on his deep connection to Boston, the city where he grew up and where New Kids on the Block first found success.

Among the memorabilia he keeps are original seats from the historic Boston Garden, preserving a tangible connection to his hometown and its sports and entertainment history.

The city continues to play an important role in his identity despite years spent working and living elsewhere.

The Brotherhood of New Kids on the Block

Looking back on the band’s beginnings, McIntyre spoke about the bond he shares with fellow New Kids on the Block members.

“We came from the streets of Boston. It was lightning in a bottle,” he said.

The group, which rose to international fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s, remains active today and continues to perform together.

For McIntyre, those relationships represent decades of friendship and shared experiences that extend far beyond music.

Reflecting on the Loves of His Life

From his wife and children to his pets, hometown memories, treasured possessions, and longtime bandmates, McIntyre’s reflections offer a look at the people and experiences that have shaped his life.

As he continues performing with New Kids on the Block and pursuing new projects, he remains closely connected to the relationships and memories that have defined his journey.
