🚨 Legal Update in the Gucci Mane Case Pooh Shiesty’s father is asking the court to modify his bond, seeking permission to travel while awaiting trial

Pooh Shiesty’s Father Seeks Bond Modification to Travel for Legal and Property Matters

Lontrell Williams Sr., father of Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty, has filed a motion with the court to modify the terms of his current bond. Williams Sr. is currently under home incarceration as part of ongoing proceedings connected to his son’s case involving alleged robbery and kidnapping of Gucci Mane.

The trial, originally expected to start in February 2027, recently experienced delays, prompting the legal team to request changes that would allow Williams Sr. to travel under specific conditions.

Pooh Shiesty's father, Lontrell Williams Sr., could reportedly have his $250K bond revoked, as prosecutors allege he may be a flight risk. According to Action 5 News, prosecutors are expected to file

Travel Requests for Legal Matters

According to court documents obtained by Complex, Williams Sr. requested permission to travel to and from his attorneys’ offices in the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. The filing states that he needs to review case information with his legal team, which he cannot bring home due to restrictions imposed by his bond.

The motion also requests flexibility to travel to Tennessee’s Western District to oversee his personal business interests, including the management, renovation, and maintenance of more than eight properties in Memphis.

Property Management and Security Concerns

The documents cite ongoing responsibilities at the Memphis properties, including coordinating contractors, supervising renovations, and ensuring the safety and upkeep of his holdings. The filing mentions that a break-in occurred at one of the properties, further motivating the request for modified travel privileges.

The legal team has asked the court for either:

  • An 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. curfew, or
  • A change from home incarceration to home detention with looser travel restrictions

This adjustment would allow Williams Sr. to maintain his business operations and continue supporting his family while adhering to court requirements.

Context of the Case

Pooh Shiesty remains in custody, awaiting the delayed trial related to the alleged robbery and kidnapping case. At this time, no updates have been reported regarding his bail requests, and all nine co-defendants continue to navigate the legal process.

Earlier this month, fellow Memphis rapper Big30 was released on bond and publicly reunited with family, a development that has brought additional attention to the ongoing legal proceedings affecting the city’s hip-hop community.

Next Steps

The court has yet to rule on Williams Sr.’s motion. If approved, the modification would allow him limited travel for legal consultation and property management while maintaining oversight by the court.

The outcome will likely impact how he can continue supporting his family and managing personal obligations during the ongoing legal process.
