Kim Kardashian has revealed her late father ‘laughed at her’ when she contacted him via a medium in a new interview on Tuesday.

Robert, a defence attorney who gained worldwide recognition for being apart of the legal defence team of O.J. Simpson in 1995, died from esophageal cancer at age 59 on September 30, 2003.

All four of the Kardashian siblings, which includes Kim, Rob, Kourtney and Khloe have all expressed having a close and loving relationship with their dad.

Speaking to GQ Magazine as she covered the 28th annual Men of the Year issue, the reality TV personality, 43, discussed the impact that her father had on her life.

Kim explained how Robert, as a devout Christian, had always heeded the Bible’s warning against psychics and mediums, and was left feeling they were ‘full of s***’ when he did meet with one who told him the ‘Kardashian name would be internationally known.’

However, despite his dismissal she frequently turns to them for reassurance and explained how her dad had reached out to her during one of her sessions.

‘My dad had a chip on his tooth and I always said, “Dad, get a bonding and fix that tooth.” He’d just laugh and say, “Kimberly, no one sees it. It’s fine,”‘ she recalled

Kim explained how at one reading she had a chipped tooth herself, and her medium had told her “Your dad is laughing at your tooth.”

She exclaimed: ‘Who would know that? It was nothing that was on the show. It was nothing that I had ever said out loud. Those kinds of things just make me smile inside.’

Robert was married to his children’s mother, Kris Jenner (born Kris Houghton) from 1978 until 1991.

In 1998, seven years after the divorce was finalised, he married Jan Ashley; however, the marriage ended in annulment 30 days later.

After dating for three years, the Los Angeles native married his third wife, Ellen Pierson (née Markowitz), six weeks prior to his death.

Robert had not only been one of the lawyers for Simpson during his widely publicised murder trial, he had also been his friend for many years before the court proceedings, which ended with an acquittal for the former football great.

Elsewhere in the interview Kim emotionally reflected on one of the final conversations she had with her father.

She recalled how her father urged her to take care of her siblings before he passed away while adding that he ‘could see’ they would be okay.

Kim said:  ‘I took what he said to mean that I was going to be okay in life. But it made me make decisions differently.’

Kardashian’s death came four years before his family would shoot to worldwide fame on show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, with Kim saying he would be proud.
