Cristiano Ronaldo is continuing to expand his business empire. From hotel chains to gym chains, perfumes, lingerie, real estate, hair transplant clinics, the CR7 brand seems to have no end.
The recent investment from “King Midas of the 21st century” is the acquisition of all shares of COFINA, one of the largest media groups in Portugal, for a sum of 57 million euros.
It is important to know that COFINA is in control of CMTV, the cable television channel with the most viewers in Portugal, and Correio da Manha, a daily newspaper with a large readership in the country.
Ronaldo recently had the opportunity to show his generosity to his staff
After taking over the COFINA media group, striker currently playing for Al Nassr, Ronaldo showed generosity through an additional payment in the form of checks worth 1,250 euros/check to all employees here.
However, it seems that everything has been resolved with Ronaldo pledging to maintain operations after becoming COFINA boss. “Of course we were not comfortable at first. That is normal. But look, no one here is afraid for their job. We know that even though we have bothered him, whether there is a reason or not, Ronaldo still understands our work,” an employee at the media group that Ronaldo just acquired shared.
Accompanied by an email sent to each employee stating the reason for donating money is “an act of gratitude to all those who are members who sweat every day of this great media corporation”. It is not redundant to recall the relationship between Ronaldo and COFINA which is very complicated. Cristiano Ronaldo sued COFINA 11 times before buying it back and changing its name to “Expressao Livre”.
