Results Al Nassr vs Al Shabab – Ronaldo and his teammates won a ticket to the semi-finals of the Saudi King’s Cup after an extremely convincing victory.
Welcoming Al Nassr at home, Al Shabab had a chance to open the score early when they were awarded a penalty in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, superstar Yannick Carrasco then slipped and kicked the ball over the crossbar.
The away team then immediately punished them with Seko Fofana’s penalty goal after Mane’s long-range attempt was saved by the goalkeeper. However, the balance was quickly established when Carlos Junior scored a header to equalize the score 1-1 for Al Shabab from Carrasco’s pass.
Al Nassr then took the lead again with a neat one-two combination between Otavio and Sadio Mane in the 28th minute. In the 4th minute of injury time of the first half, Ghareeb scored to increase the score to 3-1 for the away team.
Coming to the second half, what fans were looking forward to the most finally arrived. In the 74th minute, Otavia coordinated the shot and accurately poked Ronaldo in the penalty area to increase the score to 4-1.
The gap is too big for Al Shabab to have a chance to equalize. In the 90th minute, the home team scored another equalizer thanks to Hattan Behabri, but the player who replaced Ronaldo, Mohammed Maran, then scored another goal, sealing a 5-2 victory for Al Nassr.
This result helps Ronaldo’s team win the right to reach the semi-finals of the Saudi King’s Cup. Their opponents will be determined after the final match of the quarterfinals between Al Ittihad and Al Faisaly ends on December 19.
