On the afternoon of December 11, two members of the BTS group, V and RM, arrived at the military training center in South Chungcheong province to begin performing their military service.

According to an announcement from Big Hit Music Management Company, both members of BTS will go to the training center together without any official announcement events.

In addition, the company also asked fans to limit gathering at the training venue to prevent traffic congestion and chaos.

The three oldest members of the group, Jin, J-Hope and Suga, all enlisted in the army last December.

V and RM enlisted at noon on December 11 and the remaining two members, Jimin and  Jungkook  , will enlist on the next day, December 12. Thus, all members of the BTS group have performed military service this year.

Before entering the training camp, both V and RM sent nice messages to reassure fans. Member RM said:

“The two members Jin and J-Hope both performed their first service, they must have worked a lot harder than us.

They gave me great courage. I believe that this 18-month period will be new for all of us.

Maybe sometimes I will feel lonely, but I will always remember that I always have you by my side and use that to complete the task well.”

V shared: “Actually, I feel very regretful because I couldn’t experience happy memories with ARMY ( BTS fanclub name ) for a while. This is probably the most difficult thing for me.

But I will return after completing the full 18 months. Let’s remember the precious memories of the past. I will really miss you guys. So please wait until then. Love you guys so much!

In a live chat streamed online on Weverse, RM hoped that all fans could look forward to chapter 2 of their artistic journey.

At the same time, all members have assured fans that they will return with a bang in 2025, after all members complete their military service.
