Premier League powerhouse Erling Haaland has the kind of charisma to make it big on the silver screen – but a Mike Myers character may not ben what he had in mind.
Manchester City’s goal machine was seen letting his hair down prior to Sunday’s meeting with title rivals Arsenal, hiding part of his bonce under a black ‘Hyperice’ trucker cap. The Norwegian’s flowing locks have become a frequent talking point since Haaland emerged as one of the biggest talents in European football, and this weekend was no different.
And while he may be used to playing the cool customer on the field, his latest lookalike comparison is anything but. Thankfully, Wayne’s World favourite Garth Algar has nothing on last season’s Golden Boot winner.
The character first made famous following 1992’s Wayne’s World, Garth (portrayed by Dana Carvey) is known for being aloof and lacking focus. If there were any words one might use to describe Haaland, those would be near the top of the list.
But while the personalities may not match, that didn’t prevent certain spectators spotting the resemblance between the blondes. Not that someone like Haaland will mind the mix-up.
