One day before enlisting, Jimin went live on the fan community platform Weverse and humorously showed off his spiked hairstyle in accordance with military regulations.
Jimin said: “Today I came to see V and RM off to the army, they said they would try to do well and stay healthy.
I really miss you guys so much. However, I will work hard in the army and will return soon. And I also joined the army with Jungkook, so I felt a lot more secure. Don’t worry!”.

Youngest brother Jungkook also streamed live in the early morning of December 12, before enlisting, and sent greetings to fans with mixed emotions.
“Tomorrow, all the members will be performing military service and so will I. I’m very grateful for your support and love for me. So please stay healthy and always be happy.
Jimin BTS bowed his head to say goodbye to his fans
I will try to complete the training well and come back stronger. I love you so much!” – Jungkook’s eyes turned red as he said goodbye to his fans.
Complying with the management company’s request not to gather in large crowds, the group’s fans did not gather at the enlistment location.
Fans said goodbye to Jungkook and Jimin by sending buses and large banners with photos supporting the spirit of the two BTS members .
A banner was hung high with large balloons with a picture of Jungkook and nice words of encouragement, quoting lyrics from his famous solo songs.
As expected, BTS members will serve in the military for 18 months.
Both the group and BigHit Music Management Company promised that they will return and continue to work with full members when discharged in June 2025.
