Some of Oscar winner Nicole Kidman’s critically maligned missteps have aged well with fans.
Kidman said, in a chat for WSJ. Magazine and Tiffany’s “The One” series, “Strangely enough, ‘Practical Magic’ — every time Halloween’s going — people are like, ‘I love “Practical Magic”!’ ”
She said fans of the 1998 film even have viewing parties and mix up margaritas inspired by the film’s characters. “And I’m always like, ‘Sandy, that’s cool,’ ” Kidman said of informing her co-star in the film, Sandra Bullock, of its popularity.
The movie was box office poison 22 years ago and has a frightening 22 percent “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
