Real Madrid will make their interest in Kylian Mbappe formal today, according to the latest reports coming out of the Spanish capital. While it is not ruled out that he signs a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain, there is confidence they can get a deal done.
That is because the directors at Real Madrid are aware that Mbappe regrets turning down Los Blancos 18 months ago, say Relevo. Mbappe strung along both Real Madrid and PSG until late May in 2022, before finally making a decision on his future, leaving Real Madrid in a state of embarassment and outrage. However it is a decision that Real Madrid believe he would do differently, and now he has the chance to rectify his ‘mistake’.
That backlash is why this time round, Real Madrid are keen to only do business on their own terms this time round. They have set a time limit to accept the offer, and will not negotiate the terms of their offer – Mbappe will have to take it or leave it.
