According to analysis by Deloitte Football Money League, Real Madrid generated a record revenue of 831 million euros in the 2022/23 season, 118 million euros more than the previous season. This number helps “White Vultures” return to the top of the list of the world’s most profitable clubs after 5 years.

Man City dropped to second place despite having a record revenue of 826 million euros, thanks to last season’s great “treble” of winning the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup. The remaining three positions in the top 5 belong to PSG (802 million euros), Barcelona (800 million euros) and MU (746 million euros).

The Premier League dominates the top 10 with the addition of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham. In particular, Liverpool is the team that dropped the most on the list, from 3rd to 7th, due to declining performance in both the domestic arena and the European Cup last season.

Deloitte said the figures revealed that commercial revenue had overtaken broadcasting revenue to become the biggest source of income for clubs for the first time since the 2015/16 season, with the exception of the 2019/19 season. 20 affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
