According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of the reality TV show “Apartment 404” aired on tvN on the evening of February 23, recording an average national rating of 2.7%.
This is a fairly low launch rating, especially for a variety show that was anticipated before its debut like “Apartment 404”.
Since October last year, right after introducing the participation of artists including Yoo Jae Suk, Cha Tae Hyun, Yang Se Chan, Oh Na Ra, Lee Jung Ha and Jennie (Blackpink), “Apartment 404” has soon gained public attention.
In particular, this is the first reality TV show Jennie has appeared in after she decided not to renew her personal contract with YG Entertainment and established her own company ODD ATELIER. Fans expect Jennie to have a successful program, thereby proving the female singer’s influence and reputation in many fields.

But it seems that “Apartment 404” did not have a smooth start. Under Allkpop’s post, an audience member said he abandoned the show after the first 15 minutes because everything was too slow and the introduction was too long.
Another audience commented that the games in “Apartment 404” are like “recycled games” from “Running Man” or “How Do You Play”.
However, there are also opinions that the starting rating of 2.7% on a cable station like tvN is not too bad. In addition, “Apartment 404” is also a popular program on the Tving streaming platform.
