Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck enjoyed a retail therapy session together in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The adorable couple were spotted holding hands and rocking casual ensembles during the shopping spree.

Their sighting comes after it was revealed in Jennifer’s documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told that Ben kept his love letters from the singer throughout his marriage to Jennifer Garner.

The actor kept all the letters and emails they wrote each other from 20 years ago and made it into a book he gave her as a gift.

‘This book is a book Ben gave me on our first Christmas back together. It is every letter and every mail that we wrote each other from 20 yers ago and today,’ she said in her documentary.

She highlighted one note that said: ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told by Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck 2001-2010… and counting…’

Ben and Jennifer Garner started dating in August 2004, and were married from 2005 until they announced their separation in 2015.

Their divorce was finalized in 2018.

Ben and Jennifer Garner share three children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.

Sporting denim overalls paired with a cozy cardigan, the 54-year-old actress effortlessly maintained her movie star allure.

The ensemble was completed with a pair of Timbaland boots and a vibrant red handbag, adding a touch of flair to the low key look.

JLo’s hunky 51-year-old partner, meanwhile, wore a plaid jacket, grey T-shirt and Nike high tops.

The retail therapy session comes after Jennifer emotionally recalled breaking off her first engagement to Ben back in 2004 In her latest documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

Bennifer were initially engaged in the early 2000s, experienced a breakup, and then rekindled their romance, culminating in marriage in July 2022.

The documentary sheds light on their tumultuous initial two-year relationship, which garnered significant public attention, placing strain on the couple.

Jennifer said: ‘Ben and I broke up three days before our wedding and we crumbled under the pressure. You think you’re doing ok so you shrug it off.

‘I had a broken heart once I lost the love of my life, my best friend, and I couldn’t talk for so many years and that was the hardest part.

‘I used to think it was everyone else who was broken, now I think it was just me.’

Originating in 2002 during the filming of Jersey Girl, the couple, affectionately known as Bennifer, embarked on their love story.

Although they got engaged the following year, a breakup ensued in 2004. Fate intervened, and the couple reunited in July 2021, sealing their bond with marriage just one year later.

In Jennifer’s documentary, Ben disclosed that when they decided to rekindle their relationship, he initially requested Jennifer to keep it private.

‘Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media,’ the actor recalled.

‘Then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like, you’re gonna marry a boat captain and you go, “Well, I don’t like the water.”‘

He continued: ‘We’re just two people with different kinds of approaches trying to learn to compromise.’

Jennifer has adhered to his wishes and shared only a few photos featuring him.

These include a shirtless snapshot on Father’s Day and a heartwarming video of them singing Sam Cooke’s (What A) Wonderful World in the car on his birthday.

In the documentary, Jennifer recognized Ben’s unease about being in the public eye as a couple, especially given the intense media scrutiny they faced during their initial relationship from 2002 to 2004.

‘I don’t think [Ben] is very comfortable with me doing all of this,’ she said.

‘But he loves me, he knows I’m an artist, and he’s gonna support me in every way he can because he knows you can’t stop me from making the music I made… he doesn’t want to stop me. But that doesn’t mean he’s comfortable being the muse.’

In another poignant moment from the documentary, tears welled up in Jennifer’s eyes as she revealed how deeply moved she was by the way her husband made her see herself.

‘What he said and what he saw in me, and what he made me believe about myself, only comes from love,’ she explained.

‘Because nobody else could have made me see that about myself. It’s very moving.

‘Because I didn’t think much about myself and so the world didn’t think much of me. That lined up.’

She shared that ‘we both have PTSD’ from their initial dating experience, but explained that in their present life as a married couple they’re ‘older’ and ‘wiser’ (pictured in 2003)

JLo said of their reunion: ‘We’re totally different people now and we’re the same and we have the same love 100 percent. Like I’d never fallen out of love with you. I had to just put it over here.’

The couple got engaged near the end of 2002 but broke the engagement in late 2003 before ending their relationship entirely in 2004.

In the intervening years, Jennifer married and divorced her third ex-husband Marc Anthony, with whom she welcomed her 15-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Meanwhile, Ben married and divorced Jennifer Garner, with whom he amicably co-parents three children – Violet, 18, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11.
