Ryan Reynolds is facing a lot of difficulties as a result of leaked images from the Deadpool 3 set. Reynolds has retaliated after it seemed that his earlier remarks about giving away the surprise were disregarded. Reynolds responded on social media with many blatantly phony set images, befitting a Deadpool.
The images, which were initially shared on Reynolds’ personal Twitter, show many “surprise” Deadpool 3 cameos. The most notable of them are cameos by Mickey Mouse, Steve Urkel from Family Matters, and a Predator. Another image shows what looks to be a stone ruin created using the Quibi streaming platform’s logo, which is no longer in operation.

In response, Deadpool fans shared their own fictitious images of the Deadpool 3 set on #DeadpoolLeaks, #DeadpoolSpoilers, and #DeadpoolScoop. As a result, there are a ton of Photoshopped pictures and artificial intelligence artwork featuring characters like Lady Deadpool played by Taylor Swift and Godzilla and the Merc with the Mouth.
Deadpool Franchise Began With a Leak
In his piece, Ryan Reynolds points out that the original Deadpool movie was only produced as a result of a leak. After ten years of failing to convince studios to use the character, Reynolds developed a trailer, which somehow ended up making its way online. It went viral right away, and Fox decided to go ahead and make the movie after seeing how the fans responded. Consequently, the first Deadpool film went on to become one of 2016’s greatest blockbusters.
Reynoldsβ mock Deadpool 3 set photo leaks seem intended to draw upon the same spirit that led to Deadpool being made. The clearly faked photos speak to Reynoldsβ famed sense of humor and tongue-in-cheek biting of the hand that feeds him. Reynolds is also engaging the fan base, encouraging their own creativity, and continuing to build interest in Deadpool 3.
Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool 3 is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
