‘The Boys’ Season 5’s production timeline and working title have been made public.
Prime Video is already ten steps ahead of the audience while fans anxiously await the release of The Boys Season 4.
Although the program hasn’t been officially renewed yet, it seems like Prime Video has been filming Season 5 in the background as the fourth season is releasing.
The season’s preproduction got underway in January of this year. “Marathon 5959” is the season’s working title.
Filming is scheduled to begin on April 8 and last for four months, ending on August 22. Toronto, Canada, will be the site of production.
For comparison, the fourth season was filmed from August 2022 to April 2023, around 8 months.
Details regarding the plot of the upcoming seasons are scarce, although that is to be expected as it hasn’t entered production yet.
The cast of the show includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, and Tomer Capon.
Season 4 is expected to introduce fresh faces to the already dynamic cast. Additional cast members include Karen Fukuhara, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Cravetti.
New additions include Valorie Curry as Firecracker, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler, Derek Wilson as Tek Knight, Dan Mousseau as Webweaver, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict, Omid Abtahi, and Elliot Knight.
The official synopsis for season 4 of the show describes it as:
“The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power.
Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader.
The rest of the team is fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
The Boys Season 4 is set to premiere on Prime Video on June 13, 2024.
