Former PSG star protested against Barca president over the news of Mbappe’s move to Real

Former Paris Saint-Germain player Mohamed Sissoko disagrees with Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s recent statement.

In an interview last week with Mundo Deportivo, when talking about the deal between Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe , the Barca president said: “Barcelona is not jealous of Real Madrid when they signed a contract with Mbappe. The cost to get him is too high, and this will definitely turn their dressing room upside down.”

“There is a high possibility that Real will have to sell a player if Mbappe arrives. Because it will be difficult for two players to play in the same position…”.

Barca’s president believes that Mbappe will turn Real’s dressing room upside down.

Contrary to Laporta’s opinion, Sissoko believes that will not happen and the French player will easily integrate into the Real Madrid squad.

“ I think Kylian will go to Real Madrid ,” Sissoko shared with Diario AS. “ This is the perfect time for him to play in the white shirt. I wish him the greatest success in the new phase of his career…”

When asked what he thought about Barca President’s statement, Sissoko said: “I completely disagree with that statement. Real Madrid is a great club with great players. Mbappe will definitely be a great signing.”

Sissoko rejected the views expressed by Laporta.

Recently, journalist Jose Luis Sanchez of the program El Chiringuito also expressed his opinion about Laporta’s statement. He believes that Laporta is jealous that Real Madrid can sign superstars while Barcelona is struggling financially.

President Joan Laporta’s statement may be how Barcelona’s Board of Directors reacts to this deal, because it will take some time for Blaugrana to stabilize their finances and be able to recruit another superstar.

Recently, it was reported that Barca is luring Erling Haaland away from Manchester City, the club wants to sign a contract and bring him to the Nou Camp in the 2025 summer transfer window.

However, if Real Madrid also wants to have the Norwegian striker and participate in the race for his signature, Barcelona will likely have to give up pursuing him.

The man behind a viral petition demanding a General Election has revealed why he started – as it clocks over more than 2.5million signatures. Pub landlord Michael Westwood said he decided to launch the petition having seen Keir Starmer and his MPs go back on their manifesto promises and repeatedly talk down the prospects for the country. The poorly received budget from Rachel Reeves that saw employers hit with an increase in national insurance tax was a key factor in his decision to launch the petition.
