Rousey claims Gulak grabbed the drawstring on her pants as he passed her backstage.
Ronda Rousey has been telling all about her time in WWE via her new book Our Fight and while promoting it during various interviews. That includes putting Vince McMahon on blast in her book, and detailing one of her final interactions with Triple H before she left the company last summer. Rousey has now told another worrying backstage story about her time in WWE, this time making a serious accusation against current NXT Superstar, Drew Gulak.Ronda Rousey Makes Accusation Of Drew Gulak
Discussing the accusations made against McMahon during an interview on NewsNation, Rousey claimed she was touched inappropriately by Gulak while waiting to speak with Triple H and other WWE writers (H/T to F4WOnline for the transcription).
I was standing there and this guy I was barely an acquaintance with grabs the string of my sweatpants as I’m walking by, and nobody reacts as if this is abnormal, and he’s going down the hall and I’m like ‘what the f*ck is that? Why are you grabbing the string of my sweatpants?’.
The interviewer asked for the name of the person who grabbed her sweatpants, but Rousey didn’t say it at first. Not because she didn’t want to, but because she couldn’t remember his name. When she does, Rousey confirms the person who grabbed her was Gulak. She also details confronting him about it after the incident.
I was like, if I ever hear you putting your hands on any other woman like this or doing anything to me like this ever again, we’re going to have a problem. And he was like ‘No, no, no, I’m glad you said something to me’ and he backpedaled.
Drew Gulak Is Still In NXT
Gulak is not someone who has been mentioned previously when it comes to the many accusations being lobbied against certain WWE employees recently. In fact, Gulak is currently very active in NXT, both as an on-screen performer and working behind the scenes. His most recent televised match was a win over Riley Osborne with the Heritage Cup on the line. Charlie Dempsey is its holder, but anyone in the Quarter Catch Crew, a faction Gulak is a part of, is eligible to defend the cup.
Allegations of sexual assault were made against McMahon in 2022, but WWE was really rocked when former employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit claiming she was assaulted and trafficked repeatedly by the former chairman over a three-year period. Many have alleged the issues in WWE run deeper than McMahon, Rousey included. The former Women’s Champion previously labeled WWE’s backstage environment a “sh*t show” and will only return if the landscape changes drastically.
