Priyanka has always been a strong girl, thanks to her military parents and the discipline she followed throughout her life. When her father passed away, instead of dealing with the loss, she kept burying it. In her memoir, Unfinished, Priyanka revealed that she kept working and thought that her work would heal her. In reality, it only made things worse for her. An excerpt from Priyanka’s book could be read as:

Priyanka Chopra’s father, Dr Ashok Chopra, passed away in 2013, after battling cancer. He was a physician in the Indian army.
