Joe Jonas is open to another onstage reunion with his former Camp Rock costar, Demi Lovato. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 36-year-old singer shared that he’s not ruling out the possibility of making another surprise appearance during Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour, which kicked off in Orlando in April.
“You never know, you never know. We’ll have to see,” Jonas said when asked about the chance of joining Lovato on stage again. He added that he is thrilled to see Lovato’s success and praises her ongoing tour. “I’m so happy for her. She’s crushing it,” Jonas said. “This show’s amazing, and I encourage everyone to go see it.”
Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour supports her ninth studio album of the same name, and during the Orlando tour opener, she surprised fans with a special guest appearance by Jonas. The duo performed Camp Rock‘s hit “This Is Me” as well as a duet of “On the Line” from Lovato’s debut album Don’t Forget, marking the first live performance of the Jonas Brothers collaboration since 2008.
Lovato’s tour was also attended by another Disney Channel alum, Selena Gomez. Lovato later shared with PEOPLE how much the reunion with both Jonas and Gomez meant to her. “It meant everything to me,” she said of the heartfelt moments shared with her fellow stars.
Jonas and Lovato previously reunited at the opening night of the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour in New Jersey in 2025, where they performed “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” from Camp Rock 2.
Although Jonas and Lovato briefly dated in 2010, their split didn’t affect their strong friendship, and they’ve remained close since. As for Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour, it features hits like “Heart Attack,” “Give Your Heart a Break,” and “Cool for the Summer,” as well as tracks from her latest album.
In addition to Jonas, other surprise guests have joined Lovato on stage during the tour, including Joanna “JoJo” Levesque, who performed “Too Little Too Late” with Lovato at a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Lovato’s husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, also made a special appearance that night, marking the couple’s first-ever live performance together with a rendition of the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris,” the song they danced to during their wedding in May 2025.
