A MUM who allegedly stabbed her three children to death before fleeing in the French Alps has been found dead in Switzerland.

French cops launched a massive manhunt after Deborah Pel, 45, fled the small town of Taninges leaving a note behind.

The bodies of the two boys aged two and 11, and a 13-year-old girl were found at the family home near the Swiss border on Tuesday.

After fleeing in her Audi SUV, the 45-year-old school teacher was found dead in her car in the area of Champéry in Switzerland, according to  Le Dauphiné Libéré.

The cause of her death is currently unknown.

The grim discovery was made by the children’s grandparents, it emerged.

It had earlier been reported that the dad of the youngest child, had found the bodies.

French cops had launched a probe and searched for the French-Swiss national alongside helicopter crews and diving squads.

Investigators requested assistance from Swiss authorities in their search, who flagged her car as it passed into the country.

Bonneville’s district attorney, Boris Duffau confirmed “the discovery, in the vehicle usually used by the mother of the three children, of the body of a woman by the Swiss authorities.“

The mum was a teacher at a school in nearby Marnaz, where she had reportedly transferred from Adelin-Malgrand school in Samoëns.

According to French media, the transfer was made following a petition from parents, who reported she was too strict with the children.

She was said to be involved in the local community, mainly as a member of Samoëns municipal harmony.
