Last week, Variety reported that the God Is a Bullet action star will reprise her It Follows role as Jay Height in David Robert Mitchell’s horror sequel They Follow, which will be distributed by Neon.

The $1.M-budget original film scored a certified fresh 95% critic approval rating (out of 272 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes and earned $23.3M at the global box office in 2015.

But audiences can next catch Maika as FBI Agent Lee Harker in Oz Perkins’ Pinnochio-inspired serial killer thriller Longlegs alongside Nicolas Cage, Alicia Witt, and Blair Underwood.

‘[Oz] is pretty strong in the horror genre at the moment,’ the 59-year-old Oscar winner told Document Journal last November.

‘But he’s actually Anthony [Perkins’] son. He’s done some really good movies. Gretel and Hansel was terrific. It’s about a character who’s hearing voices. It’s kind of like a possessed Geppetto, who’s making these dolls.’

Monroe will also portray Ava in Maxime Giroux’s upcoming action crime drama In Cold Light alongside Oscar winners Troy Kotsur and Helen Hunt.
