Rapper Rick Ross is brushing off speculation about tension with Drake, despite fans believing the Toronto superstar took a shot at him on a track from his newly released album, Iceman.

While speaking with Page Six during promotions for his alcohol-free Luc Belaire Alcohol-Removed Rare Rosé, his upcoming album Set in Stone, and his new book Renaissance of a Boss, Ross insisted there is “nothing” going on between the two rap heavyweights.

The speculation reignited after Drake appeared to reference Ross on the song “Make Them Pay,” rapping:

“Dog, I was aiding Ross with streams before Adin Ross had ever streamed.”

Although Ross avoided directly responding to the lyric, he did hint that fans can expect competitive energy — and possibly diss tracks — on his upcoming project.

“It’s always diss tracks. You know Rozay,” Ross said. “That competitive spirit, to me, is what made Hip Hop what it was.”

Ross and Drake were once longtime collaborators, teaming up on major hits including Aston Martin Music, Stay Schemin’, Money in the Grave, and Lemon Pepper Freestyle. However, reports suggest their relationship became strained during the highly publicized 2024 feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, when Ross publicly sided with Lamar and later accused Drake of using ghostwriters on the track Champagne Moments.
