Cardi B Leads BET Awards 2026 Nominations With Six Nods
The nominations for the BET Awards 2026 have officially been announced, with Cardi B emerging as this year’s most-nominated artist.
The Bronx rapper earned a total of six nominations, including Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Album of the Year for AM I THE DRAMA?, Viewers’ Choice Award for her hit single Outside, and Best Collaboration for Errtime Remix alongside Jeezy and Latto.
Close behind Cardi are Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist, who each secured five nominations. Kendrick received recognition for collaborations including Chains & Whips with Clipse and luther with SZA, continuing his strong award season momentum.
Mariah the Scientist also had a major breakthrough year, earning nominations for her project HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY and her widely discussed single Burning Blue.
Artists receiving four nominations include Doechii, Doja Cat, Clipse, Teyana Taylor, Olivia Dean, and Latto, highlighting a diverse lineup of established stars and rising talent across hip hop and R&B.
This year’s ceremony will also introduce two brand-new categories: the Fashion Vanguard Award and the Pulse Award, designed to recognize artists and personalities making a major impact in fashion, digital culture, and online influence.
The BET Awards 2026 will air live on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET and across multiple Paramount platforms. Fans are already debating who could dominate the night as anticipation builds for one of the biggest events in music and entertainment.
