Deion Taurence Philip, known professionally as Poppa Fetti, was apprehended on November 4 in Hanover, Pennsylvania, by a joint task force that included Maryland State Police and U.S. Marshals. The 32-year-old artist now finds himself in the Baltimore County Detention Center, facing grave allegations of sex trafficking involving a minor, alongside his alleged accomplice, 57-year-old Antoine Miles from Maryland.
The investigation began in September when the Maryland State Police Child Recovery Unit, in collaboration with Baltimore County Police and the FBI, discovered a young girl being advertised online for sexual services. This led them to a hotel in Towson, where they rescued a critically missing juvenile.
As the investigation progressed, authorities located Poppa Fetti at a residence in Pennsylvania, where they also found another missing girl believed to be a victim of trafficking. Just two days later, Miles was arrested at the Minneapolis airport, and officials suspect there may be more victims yet to be identified.

On October 3, he took to Instagram to share his vision for his music, which he described as “Pimphop,” drawing inspiration from rap legends like Too $hort and Suga Free. Poppa Fetti’s admiration for these West Coast icons is evident, as both Too $hort and Suga Free have built their careers around the themes of street life and the pimp lifestyle, often blurring the lines between storytelling and reality. However, Poppa Fetti’s connection to this lifestyle extends beyond his lyrics; he authored a book titled “OUTFIT,” published in March 2020, which portrays a character navigating the challenges of the hustler life.
