One Piece Filming Locations: Where is the Netflix Live-Action Filmed?

One Piece (2023) is a reverie, adventure, and action series released on Thursday, August 31, 2023. The show is produced by Netflix and Tomorrow Studio and directed by Emma Sullivan.

In the series, we saw actors Iaki Godoy Jasso, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Taz Skylar, Peter Gadiot, and so on With Iaki Godoy playing our favorite character, Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu playing the legendary character of Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd playing Nami, Taz Skylar playing Sanji, and Peter Gadiot playing Shanks, along with the others.

The story follows up, showing a life of adventure for Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate friends while they sail towards a life of endless adventure to prospect immense tides and scout bewildering tropical islands, to conclude the ambition to unearth the ultimate treasure called the “One Piece” and so becoming the next pirate king.

Their adventure will sail through profuse discord while Luffy’s crew finds several pit stops while closing in with the intent of locating the “One Piece,” thus becoming the Pirate King.

The series received wonderful feedback from the buffs; while the whole community already sees “One Piece” on the list of greatest anime of all time, the audience was very surprised and supportive when Netflix brought us the prodigious conversion of the anime. Netflix did a great job in every aspect, including the emotions, the adventure, the characters, and the costumes in the adaptation series “One Piece” (2023).

Cape Town, South Africa:

The series “One Piece 2023 ” began filming in Cape Town, South Africa. Due to its distinct location and serenity, the filming of the series was anchored in South Africa’s Cape Town Film Studios.

Just looking at the view of craggy cliffs, deep forests, lagoons, beautiful beaches, and lush Winelands, South Africa seemed like the perfect choice that the producers made for representing an adventure, reverie action Netflix series. While some parts of the series were shot in South Africa, others were shot in varying settings, including in Mexico and Spain.

The Canary Islands, Spain:

The Canary Islands are a Spanish group of islands located off the shore of northwestern Africa. The islands are pitted volcanic archipelago known for their black and white-colored sand beaches.

While the Canary Islands have a dense population of about 2 million, most of their economy is generated through tourism. The Canary Islands host great natural attractions and beautiful scenery, making the islands a major tourist destination and are visited by almost 12 million tourists annually.

While the pinpoint whereabouts of scenes filming in the Canary Islands is uncertain, the filming in the unnerving beauty of the Canary Islands was an evident decision made by the production. The filming, although it had shots from the location along with the magic of VFX and animation to make the adventure real.

Xcaret, Quintana Roo, Mexico:

Xcaret Park is an independently operated theme park and resort. Located in Riviera Maya, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, Quintana Roo, some of the scenes from “One Piece” were shot in its bewildering habitat. At the same time, the show’s theme could perfectly fit in the biome. At the same time, the production found it more suited to have a tropical climate for its scenic representation of a reverie adventure series in which Monkey D. Luffy and his crew sailing towards endless adventure to unearth the paramount wealth called the “One Piece.”

The biome had picturesque countryside and landscapes and pursuits for tourists to enjoy, like snorkeling, dolphin sightseeing, and sea trekking. The biome seized a turtle nesting site, along with bird sighting sites, bat subsides, a flower conservatory, and animal shelters, making it an ecosystem for severance species.

One Piece Plot:

The series anticipated since January 2023, Netflix finally arrives with the full series being available towards the end of August. The show begins with the death of the pirate Roger, who, in his final words, utters the secret of one piece to everyone present at his execution, and from there, the hunt for the unfound wealth begins, with Luffy later setting up his crew for finding the unfound lost wealth in a lifetime of journey.
