A 63-year-old grandmother of 33, Robyn Roberts has graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in the United States with a diploma and is on track to becoming a Lawyer.
Robyn Roberts who is a 63-year-old grandmother of 33 and great-grandmother of 12, obtained a diploma in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in the United States.
She told ABC that the idea to pursue a college degree was prompted by a challenge from her grandson, who told her in high school, “I’ll do it if you do it”, adding that the competition then escalated to a grade point contest which she won.
“I have finished something I started that is absolutely amazing, and I feel amazing,” she said. Robyn and her husband own a trucking business that transports unsafe materials and government equipment.
Robyn expressed her gratitude to Southern New Hampshire University for allowing her to complete her degree in a manner consistent with running a business. She stated that she usually worked on assignments in rest areas while on the road.
“I did 90% of my studies from inside my semi-truck,” Robyn said. She mentioned that as she is clocking 64 soon, she plans to attend law school, after which she hopes to provide support to survivors of abuse.
“64 is the year of new beginnings, If all goes well, by the time I turn 67, I’ll be a lawyer,” she said. Even on her graduation, Robyn still multitasked delivering items across New York and Arkansas in the United States.
