Man City striker Erling Haaland has become the latest sports star to join Beats by Dre as an ambassador – as the Norwegian posed alongside NBA star LeBron James in a new promotional shoot announcing his arrival.
Haaland has maintained his ruthless standads in front of goal this season with nine goals in nine Premier League games and is one of the most recognisable faces in the top flight – but now he’ll be leading the line for the popular headphones company.
Beats by Dre already have a star-studded line-up of sporting stars representing them – including Los Angeles Lakers forward James, ex-PSG star Neymar, Arsenal women’s striker Alessia Russo and American tennis star Frances Tiafoe.
The campaign heralded Haaland’s arrival with a picture of the striker alongside James – dubbing the match-up as ‘The King and the Viking’ – in a nod to Haaland’s Norwegian heritage.
In a YouTube clip promoting the partnership, James’ wife Savannah and Haaland’s father Alfie can be heard giving words of wisdom to their loved ones.

Haaland said of his new partnership: ‘I’m excited to join the Beats family, a brand that has long been a part of my pre-match routine as an athlete.
‘Family is important to me, and this campaign and partnership really speak to that.’
Speaking of family, James – who joined Beats by Dre in 2008 – has continued his own deal with the firm and his wife Savannah and children Bryce and Zhuri have also penned agreements.
‘It’s a pretty special thing to see how this partnership has grown with our family over the years,’ said James.
Haaland – who has nine goals in nine league games this season – already boasts a number of lucrative partnerships, including with Nike, Viaplay and Samsung
‘It’s a blessing for me to share the stage with them, and with a brand that’s been part of our lives since we started this journey. Family means everything to me!’
For Haaland, his latest endorsement adds to his deals with Samsung, Viaplay and Hyperice – plus a £200m agreement with Nike lasting more than a decade.
The 23-year-old is pocketing nearly £900,000-a-week at Man City due to lucrative bonuses in his contract.
He continued his electric start to the season by scoring in City’s 2-1 win over Brighton on the weekend, scoring his side’s second of the game after Julian Alvarez’s opener before Ansu Fati pulled one back.
