I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! bosses have implemented a rule that means Josie Gibson‘s son Reggie, five, won’t be able to see his mother during Friday’s episode.
The youngster reportedly isn’t allowed to cross the famous bridge due to his age, so won’t be heading into camp with other contestants’ loved ones.
An I’m A Celebrity source said: ‘Getting the loved ones into camp as a surprise always makes for great footage.
‘The letters from home are emotional but seeing them reunited is even better,’ The Mirror reported.
‘It is a real shame Reggie is not allowed into camp but hopefully for Josie her friend Mia can reassure her what a great time Reggie is having in Australia if he is not allowed in.’
Josie, 38, has been missing her son a lot since she entered the jungle.
As the second week in camp drew to a close last Friday, the This Morning star was overcome with emotion as she broke down in tears in the toilet.
Sensing Josie was feeling down, Danielle Harold – who became the fifth celeb to leave the show on Thursday – went to check on her, asking: ‘What’s the matter?’
Struggling to control her tears, Josie sniffed: ‘I just miss my little boy. I shouldn’t have ever left him this long.’
The Eastenders actress rushed to comfort the mother as she reassured her: ‘100% you should, you’re showing him that you’re a strong mum, strong woman. So proud of you babe.’
She continued: ‘I hate seeing you upset. You’re the best mum.’
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Josie admitted: ‘Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty. I’ll never leave him this long again, ever.’
Reggie has been staying with his dad Terry Bond. Terry and Josie started dating in 2017 but split up in 2018 when Reggie was five months old.
Despite not being able to cross the bridge, Reggie has made his first trip to Australia to greet his mum when she leaves the jungle.
Sporting a Team Josie T-shirt while sitting on a baggage trolley, Reggie proudly declared upon arrival: ‘I think that my mummy’s going to win’.
Reggie, who is used to sleeping with his mum every night, was joined by the presenter’s best friend Mia Williams, also from Bristol, who has been looking after Reggie and her son, Romey Williams, for the journey down under.
Mia said as they touched down in Brisbane Airport last week: ‘He’s coped really well considering she’s been gone for a couple of weeks now.’
