Hope is starting to doubt her future, and now she’s pointing the finger at her mom.
In the May 20 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope realized that her mom wasn’t concerned about her needs. She is only focused on Ridge and their destiny. Because of this, Hope’s future was now up in the air.
Brooke Delivers Bad News to Hope
Hope (Annika Noelle) did not have a good day. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) broke the news that she wouldn’t be co-CEO of Forrester Creations. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) couldn’t take that title away from his daughter.
However, Hope saw it as a betrayal. She accused her mother of not having her back. She coasted on the belief that Brooke would fight her battles for her.
Hope knew that she couldn’t go up against Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who sidelined Hope for the Future once again. She had no idea what to do about her line now that it had hit a dead end.
Hope’s Realization About Her Mom
Hope accused Brooke of letting her down. Brooke explained that she doesn’t need to be co-CEO, especially if it damages Ridge and Steffy’s relationship. She didn’t want to get in the way of that.
Hope didn’t care. She felt that her mom was destroying their relationship in front of her eyes. In that moment, Hope realized that Brooke’s only focus was her “destiny” with Ridge.
She wasn’t focused on Hope’s future with Forrester Creations. Hope accused her mom of choosing Ridge over everything, including her. Brooke denied that, but it was already too late. The damage has been done.
Brooke’s Bombshell Furiates Hope
Hope asked Brooke how her conversation with Ridge went. She wanted to know what they did after Ridge broke the news to her. Brooke shared that she asked Ridge to speak with Steffy about Hope’s line.
Then, she revealed that they kissed and made love afterward. It was a night they would never forget. Hope was appalled by what she had heard. Not because Brooke manipulated Ridge better than ever before. But because her mom didn’t care about Hope’s intentions.
Suddenly, the old trauma had resurfaced. Brooke chose her husband over her daughter, as she had in the past. This came as a shock to Hope, who placed all her bets on her mom. Now what? Will she finally listen to Liam (Scott Clifton) and join Logan?
