Kim Scott Breaks Down in Tears During DUI Arrest Near Detroit
Kim Scott, the ex-wife of rapper Eminem, became emotional during her recent DUI arrest, breaking down in tears after police officers placed her in handcuffs following a car crash near Detroit.
Newly obtained footage from the interaction shows officers questioning Scott about the incident. According to the video, Scott explained that she was turning a corner when bright headlights from a truck temporarily blinded her, causing her to collide with another vehicle.
While searching for her license and registration, officers asked Scott whether she had been drinking. She admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening but suggested it had been hours before the accident occurred.
Police then conducted standard field sobriety tests before placing Scott under arrest. The footage reportedly shows her becoming visibly emotional and crying after officers secured handcuffs on her wrists.
The arrest took place last week after authorities alleged Scott crashed into another vehicle while driving near Detroit. She was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, with police claiming her blood alcohol content was approximately twice the legal limit at the time of her arrest.
Despite the emotional scene during the arrest, later footage from inside the police station showed Scott appearing calmer. In her mugshot, she was seen smiling, while additional video reportedly captured officers informing her that she would be released once she sobered up and after further BAC testing was completed.
The latest incident comes shortly after Scott entered a no contest plea in a separate impaired driving case connected to a February crash. Prosecutors previously alleged she struck a parked vehicle while driving her son, Parker, and several of his friends shopping. She also faced allegations of failing to report the accident.
Scott is expected to be sentenced in that case next month.
The situation has once again placed Eminem’s longtime former partner in the public spotlight, with fans reacting online to the footage and ongoing legal troubles surrounding the incidents.
