Cardi B Files New Lawsuit Alleging Tasha K’s Husband Hid Assets to Avoid $4M Judgment
Cardi B has escalated her ongoing legal battle with blogger Tasha K by filing a new federal lawsuit against Tasha K’s husband, Cheickna Kebe, accusing him and his company, Yelling Entertainment, of allegedly concealing assets to avoid paying a multi-million-dollar defamation judgment.
According to court filings, Cardi B is seeking a jury trial and claims that Kebe and associated business entities engaged in what her legal team describes as a “personal income and asset diversion scheme” designed to prevent collection of the court-ordered payment.
The case stems from a 2019 defamation lawsuit in which Cardi B accused Tasha K of spreading false claims about her health, drug use, and personal life. In January 2022, a jury ruled in Cardi’s favor, awarding $1.25 million in compensatory damages and $250,000 in medical expenses, with additional punitive damages and legal fees bringing the total judgment to more than $4 million. The ruling was later upheld by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in March 2023.
In the new filing, Cardi’s attorneys allege multiple financial maneuvers intended to shield assets from collection efforts. Among the claims, the lawsuit states that Tasha K transferred ownership of a Georgia property to her husband roughly one month after the original judgment was issued.
The complaint also points to the shutdown of Ki Studios, which allegedly lost all assets and revenue streams, leaving it a “judgment-proof shell,” according to the filing. Additionally, Cardi’s team claims income was rerouted through Yelling Entertainment accounts in an effort to prevent garnishment.
The lawsuit includes multiple counts of fraudulent transfer, with Cardi’s legal team arguing the actions were carried out with the intent to delay, obstruct, and avoid payment of the judgment.
Tasha K previously filed for bankruptcy in 2025 and entered a repayment plan requiring $1.2 million over five years, though the agreement did not eliminate the full debt owed to Cardi B.
In a separate development, Cardi’s team also alleged in April 2026 that Tasha K violated a nondisparagement clause at least 25 times across social media platforms, further intensifying the legal conflict between the two parties.
