According to reports from TMZ Sports, Melissia Gauthreaux — founder of Accounting Resources and Management Services — has been charged with six counts of wire fraud following a federal investigation into alleged financial misconduct between 2017 and 2021.
While official court documents do not publicly identify the alleged victim, TMZ reported that Hogan employed Gauthreaux during that same period and that part of her role involved bookkeeping and financial management.
Federal prosecutors allege that Gauthreaux used her access to a client’s bank accounts to remove funds without authorization or consent.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida stated that the total amount involved in the alleged scheme was $894,274.26.
If convicted, Gauthreaux could face up to 20 years in federal prison for each wire fraud charge.
According to the indictment, prosecutors are also seeking forfeiture of the allegedly stolen funds.
The case has drawn attention due to Hogan’s connection to the accountant, though authorities have not officially confirmed that the WWE Hall of Famer was the victim referenced in the filing.
Hogan — one of the most recognizable figures in wrestling history — passed away in July 2025 at the age of 71 in Clearwater, Florida.
Earlier this year during WrestleMania 42 weekend, WWE honored Hogan by inducting the legendary match between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant from WrestleMania III into the WWE Hall of Fame as a Legacy Award selection.
As of now, the federal case against Gauthreaux remains ongoing, and no conviction has been reached.
