Rihanna Flees Los Angeles After Attempted Shooting at Beverly Hills Mansion

Beverly Hills, CA — Pop superstar Rihanna departed Los Angeles on Monday, March 10, after a Florida woman allegedly opened fire at her Beverly Hills mansion. The 38-year-old singer left via Van Nuys Airport, traveling in a convoy of SUVs before boarding a private twin-engine jet for safety.

Authorities arrested Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, a Florida resident and self-described Christian influencer, in connection with the attack. Ortiz faces attempted murder charges and is being held on $10.2 million bail. According to dispatch recordings, Ortiz reportedly fired approximately 10 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle from a white Tesla with temporary paper plates. Police tracked her to a Sherman Oaks parking lot, where she was taken into custody.

Court records show Ortiz has a history of legal issues, including domestic violence, careless driving, and violations of pretrial release conditions in Florida. She also recently appealed a custody decision involving her child. Authorities are investigating her motive in the shooting, which reportedly followed prior threats toward Rihanna.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were reportedly unaware of the shooter’s identity or intentions. Rocky was not at home during the attack, and it remains unclear whether their three children — sons RZA, 3, and Riot Rose, 2, and daughter Rocki, born September 2025 — were present.

The mansion, purchased by Rihanna in 2021, sits on a 21,958-square-foot lot in the Post Office neighborhood. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom property includes an open-air courtyard and pool, and neighbors include Madonna and Mariah Carey, with Paul McCartney’s residence directly across the street.

No injuries were reported, and the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division continues to investigate the incident. The attack has raised serious concerns about the security of high-profile celebrities in Los Angeles.
