Sauce Walka is making headlines once again, this time due to the release of shocking footage from a high-speed police chase that reached a staggering 130 MPH. The dramatic incident, which took place in December 2023, culminated in a crash that left the Houston rapper’s vehicle flipped over, yet he miraculously walked away with only minor injuries.
The chase began when Sauce Walka allegedly ran a red light, prompting Harris County Sheriff’s deputies to pursue him through the streets of Houston. Dash cam and body cam footage recently made public captures the intense moments leading up to the crash, showcasing the rapper’s vehicle losing control before flipping over. Remarkably, he was found conscious and alert by officers at the scene.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Sauce Walka, whose real name is Mondane, was evaluated at a local hospital before being booked on charges of Felony Evading Arrest/Detention in a vehicle. During the arrest, officers reportedly discovered a significant amount of cash on him, and one deputy even recognized the artist.
Initially released on a $40,000 bond, the 33-year-old “Big Drip Squad” artist faced further complications when his bond was revoked. In October 2025, he entered a guilty plea for evading arrest, resulting in deferred adjudication. This arrangement allows him to avoid a formal conviction if he meets certain court-mandated conditions over the next two years.
However, Sauce Walka’s legal challenges didn’t stop there. In March 2024, he was reportedly shot in the thigh during a violent incident outside a Westin Hotel in Memphis, which also claimed the life of 27-year-old Sayso P. The shooting suspect, identified as 21-year-old Jayden Dandridge, was later found deceased at an abandoned shopping mall in Houston. Another individual, Kevin Brown, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, currently held on a staggering $10 million bond.
