In a tweet that many interpreted as a dig at Punk, Nemeth poked fun at “straight edge guys” who claim to avoid all substances except for performance-enhancing drugs. While he didn’t mention Punk by name, the timing of his post coincides with recent gym footage of Punk showcasing a notably enhanced physique, which has sparked conversations online.
Their history includes a serious fallout during their AEW days, where Nemeth reportedly faced threats from Punk and was allegedly banned from appearing on the show Collision. This conflict escalated to the point where Nemeth filed a lawsuit against Punk and AEW, which has since moved to private arbitration following AEW’s countersuit.
The animosity appears to have roots in a 2023 tweet where Nemeth referred to Punk as “literally the softest man alive,” a remark he insists was made in character.
Meanwhile, CM Punk has been absent from WWE programming since the Raw following WrestleMania 42, a shift in schedule that has left fans speculating about his next storyline. After losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Punk’s anticipated feud with Reigns was abruptly redirected, with Jacob Fatu now stepping into the spotlight on Raw.
