David Beckham joined Inter Miami players in their Leagues Cup celebrations from inside the team’s locker room on Saturday night, as Lionel Messi and his teammates drenched manager Tata Martino with a bottle of champagne after winning the final.
‘Today is celebrated,’ shared Inter Miami’s official X account in Spanish along with footage of players going wild, just hours after the team edged out Nashville in what was a tense and dramatic penalty shootout at Geodis Park in Tennessee.
Along with Messi, Miami’s left-back, Jordi Alba, defensive midfielder Victor Ulloa, and star striker Josef Martinez were seen popping the bubbly while wearing ski masks in a bid to not get any spray in their eyes.
Bucked of Coors Light – an American beer – were also spotted on a table from inside the dressing room, with the Leagues Cup standing tall in the midst of all the alcohol.
The 48-year-old Beckham, who co-owns the Herons along with Jorge Mas, dropped by to pose for a group picture with Messi, Alba and Sergio Busquets – Inter Miami’s essential three stars and Barcelona contingent who all arrived at the club earlier this summer.

The former England captain donned a navy blue suit and tie as he crouched down next to Messi while holding the Leagues Cup. The World Cup winner even wrapped his arm around Beckham, 48, while posing next to Busquets and Alba.
Reggaetón music was also blasted from inside Miami’s locker room as players filled up the Leagues Cup trophy with beer and partied the night away.
Tata Martino was taken by surprise while answering questions from reporters in a postgame press conference, when Martinez, Ulloa and others arrived in full voice and with several bottles of champagne to spray their manager.
Martino was drenched when he got up from his chair and hugged Martinez.
Right-back DeAndre Yedlin was also seen laughing with teammates while enjoying the team’s festivities.
