Taylor Swift fans think Travis and Jason Kelce made secret hints about NFL star going out with the singer in September as podcast clip resurfaces with sister-in-law Kylie’s dating tips: ‘You’re doing great on your own, Trav!’

Fans of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have come up with a new theory about when the couple had started dating after the singer gave an interview to TIME magazine this week.

Swift was named TIME’s person of the year and for the first time gave some of her side of the story about her relationship with the Chief’s tight end.

Speaking about the first time she went to see him play, against the Chicago Bears on September 24, she said: By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.’

It has prompted Swifties to theorize that they had been dating since July – and in part through a clip from Travis and Jason Kelce‘s New Heights episode later in the summer.

It shows Jason and his wife Kylie giving Travis dating advice, albeit with what now appear to be a few knowing smirks which at the time went undetected.

Travis Kelce got dating advice from sister-in-law Kylie on New Heights before it emerged he was dating pop star Taylor Swift

Swift and Kelce went official with her watching him play the Bears on September 24

The couple have been going from strength to strength in their relationship ever since

‘I have not tried to set you up and would I not ever, no,’ she said. ‘I think you’re doing great on your own, Trav. You have no problem’ by which point Jason gives a big smile.

Travis and Jason also joke about a ‘Love Story’ on a couple of occasions, with big grins both times – the name of one of Swift’s biggest hits.

One Swift fan shared the clip on X saying: ‘It’s time to bring this back after Taylor 100% confirmed they were taking (sic) in late July. Like common, look at their smirks when talking about ‘setting Travis up’!! This was recorded early September!

Ironically, though, Kelce is also wearing John Mayer t-shirt.

Swift and Kelce dated when she was 19 and he was 31 and her song ‘Dear John’ is about the impact that relationship had on her.

But the Swifties think there was a code behind that too, with one saying on Twitter: ‘The fact that Travis was wearing that shirt when he was already talking to Taylor’ followed by a skull emoji.

But a fan replied to them saying: ‘I’m guessing it was to throw people off their track.’

Taylor could be at Travis’s next NFL game on Sunday afternoon, when the Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs and Kelce are bidding to return to winning ways after being beaten by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
