Over the last several years, WWE significantly cut back on non-televised live events in the United States, although select international tours continued in markets such as the UK and Europe. Now, the company is expanding its summer touring schedule again with multiple live events announced across the country.
Speaking on his My World podcast, Jarrett explained why he believes house shows remain essential for both fans and performers.
“I applaud it. I love it. The business desperately needs it because there is so much upside,” Jarrett said.
According to the WWE Hall of Famer, the value of house shows extends beyond ticket sales and short-term profit. He emphasized the importance of connecting directly with fans in different cities and keeping the WWE brand active outside weekly television programming.
“You can’t put a value on the marketing that you have, the ability for your fan base to come out and touch the product,” he explained.
Jarrett also believes the return of live events could play a major role in developing younger talent from WWE NXT. He specifically mentioned veteran performers like The New Day as experienced stars who can help newer wrestlers improve through live matches on the road.
“Can you imagine The New Day versus NXT wrestler one and two out on these live events? What they could learn?” Jarrett said. “They know how to get guys over, they know how to work with them.”
The WWE Hall of Famer added that he is especially curious to see how many NXT stars will be included in the upcoming summer tour events.

- July 12 — The Pit in Albuquerque, New Mexico
- July 16 — PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania
- July 25 — Adventist Health Arena in Stockton, California
- July 26 — Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield, California
- July 30 — Bank of Springfield Center in Springfield, Illinois
- August 6 — EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia
- August 13 — SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire
- August 29 — Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia
- August 30 — North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina
The expanded schedule signals WWE’s renewed focus on live fan experiences while also creating more opportunities for rising stars to gain valuable in-ring experience outside of RAW, SmackDown, and NXT television appearances.
