Cody Rhodes has opened up about the possibility of his daughters one day entering the wrestling business and continuing the legendary Rhodes family legacy.
Speaking during an interview with US Weekly at the Disney Upfronts event, the current WWE star was asked whether he could see his daughters, Liberty and Leilani, eventually becoming professional wrestlers themselves.
Rather than dismissing the idea, Rhodes admitted that he would fully support them — but only if they were willing to dedicate themselves completely to the business.
“I would say the same thing my dad said, which was, ‘Cool, you can go into it, but you have to be the best,’” Rhodes explained.
The WWE Champion acknowledged that reaching the top of the wrestling industry is far from easy, but believes both of his daughters could potentially succeed if they chose that path.
“That’s easier said than done, but I think they could certainly do it, those two,” he added.
Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes welcomed their first daughter, Liberty, in June 2021. Their second daughter, Leilani, was born in August 2025.
The comments continue the long-standing connection between the Rhodes family and professional wrestling. Cody is the son of late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes and the younger brother of Dustin Rhodes.
Raised around the wrestling business from an early age, Cody has now spent nearly two decades building one of the most recognizable careers in modern wrestling. Since debuting in 2006, he has competed across multiple major promotions including WWE, All Elite Wrestling, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and several international promotions in Japan and the United Kingdom.
Rhodes also played a major role in launching AEW as one of the company’s Executive Vice Presidents before eventually returning to WWE, where he has gone on to become a multi-time world champion and one of the company’s biggest stars.
While his daughters are still very young, Cody’s latest comments show that the possibility of a fourth generation of Rhodes wrestlers may not be completely out of the question someday.
