Curtis (Donnell Turner) on General Hospital is no longer the cool private investigator fans once adored. Over the years, he’s evolved (or devolved, depending on who you ask), and it’s left a bitter taste in the mouths of many viewers.
The New Curtis: Stubborn and Distrustful
Once known for being sharp and grounded, Curtis now seems to have become someone who is constantly looking for someone to blame. A perfect example of this is his obsessive focus on Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) following a car accident that involved him and Jordan (Tanisha Harper). Fans are growing increasingly frustrated as Curtis’s behavior begins to reflect a personal vendetta more than a search for justice.
In a major twist, Curtis is convinced that the crash—where Jordan was severely injured—was not just a result of her driving, but that another party is at fault. The irony? Curtis himself played a major role in the accident. If he hadn’t been distracted by kissing his girlfriend while she was driving, Jordan wouldn’t have swerved into the wrong lane. The two of them caused the crash, yet Curtis refuses to let go of his suspicion that someone else—perhaps Isaiah or even Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton)—was responsible.

Even Laura (Genie Francis) and Jordan have tried to talk him down, urging him to let it go. Laura pointed out that his obsession with Isaiah may be more about his animosity towards Portia’s (Brook Kerr) new boyfriend rather than any real evidence against Isaiah. But Curtis is too stubborn, and he continues to chase after a theory that doesn’t seem grounded in reality.

Curtis’s increasingly erratic behavior has caused fans to speak out. Many viewers have expressed their frustration with the storyline, accusing Curtis of becoming a “whiner” and blaming everyone else for his problems.
