BOOKER T WARNS TRICK WILLIAMS ABOUT WWE HYPE WHILE COMPARING HIM TO ROMAN REIGNS

Booker T: Trick Williams 'cannot get complacent' - F4W/WONWWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes Trick Williams has all the tools to become one of WWE’s biggest stars — but he also says the young superstar is entering the most important stage of his career.

Speaking on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast, Booker T praised Williams for the momentum he has built since arriving on the main roster, while also warning that this is the moment where many rising stars either separate themselves or fade behind the hype.

According to Booker T, Trick Williams cannot afford to become comfortable with his growing popularity.

“Trick’s in that position now where he’s got to fly. He’s got to really, really fly,” Booker T explained. “This is the most pivotal time for a young wrestler like Trick Williams. He cannot get complacent. He cannot start believing the hype.”

Booker emphasized that true main-event stars continue pushing themselves even after reaching success, saying Williams now needs to work harder than ever if he wants to become one of WWE’s top faces for the future.

“This is the time where he’s got to do more than he ever imagined to put himself into position to be that guy,” Booker added.

Trick Williams Urged to Not Get Complacent After Initial Hype and Strive to Be Like RomanThe WWE legend then compared Williams’ current situation to Roman Reigns’ rise over the last decade, pointing to Reigns’ consistency and leadership inside the ring as the standard Trick should study.

Booker praised Reigns for becoming one of WWE’s most reliable main-event performers, regardless of fan reactions over the years.

“Roman Reigns is a guy who over these last 10 years, nobody has had a bad match with Roman Reigns because Roman is a hell of a general,” Booker said. “No matter how many people didn’t like Roman Reigns, they still walked away saying, ‘Damn, he’s good.’”

According to Booker T, that level of respect is what separates a popular wrestler from a true locker room leader.

“That’s where I need someone like Trick to really focus on being that guy,” he continued. “The guy that everybody in the locker room looks at differently when he walks into the room.”

Williams has rapidly become one of WWE’s fastest-rising stars since officially debuting on SmackDown earlier this year. After entering a major feud with Sami Zayn, Williams later competed at WrestleMania and captured the United States Championship, significantly boosting his status on the main roster.

His charisma, confidence, and crowd reactions have already made him one of WWE’s breakout stars of the year, with many fans believing he could eventually become one of the company’s future franchise players.

Now, with expectations continuing to grow, Booker T believes the real challenge for Trick Williams is only beginning.
