Dua Lipa sparkles in a tiny silver metallic dress with black leather knee-high boots as she makes first appearance since Romain Gavras split

Dua Lipa stole the spotlight at the Barbie screenplay publishing party in Los Angeles on Saturday night – her first appearance since splitting with boyfriend Romain Gavras.

The Houdini hitmaker, 26, looked every inch the pop princess in her silver metallic dress for the Faber & Faber publishing house’s shindig, which was thrown to celebrate the release of the movie script written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach.

Rocking sheer stockings and a set of black leather knee-high boots for the celeb-heavy occasion, Dua commanded attention.

With her new auburn hair taking center stage, the Grammy winner went virtually makeup free, adding just a dab of lip color to her natural good looks.

The party —  taking place at the Pendry in West Hollywood — attracted a who’s who of A-list talent including Barbie stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

This is the first time the screenplay will be in print and also features an exclusive introduction by Gerwig and Baumbach.

The paperback will also feature eight pages of photos from the film.

Meanwhile, the Cold Heart songstress has been busy working on the followup to 2020’s Future Nostalgia.

She hinted at the theme and vibe of her upcoming album in an interview with Variety last fall.

‘The album is different – it’s still pop but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme. If I told you the title, everything would make sense – but I think we’ll just have to wait.’

She also gushed about the reaction to her recently released new single ‘Houdini’.

‘Honestly, it hit me so quick — the intensity of everyone’s reaction. It’s amazing. It’s definitely the biggest reaction I’ve ever gotten from anything I’ve ever done.

‘I’m just really happy and ready to start this next chapter.’

The Grammy winner expects to release her third studio album sometime next year.

She thought she’d release it sooner until she had her Cold Heart duet partner Elton John on her At Your Service podcast in March.

‘Well, when I was speaking to Elton I really felt like I was halfway done,’ she explained.

‘But it’s taken a complete turn as I’ve carried on working, and I really feel now that it’s starting to sound cohesive,’ she added.

‘So I’m going to keep writing in the early months of the new year and see where that takes me.

In an interview with the New York Times Magazine in August, she revealed the album will be released in 2024.

The Barbie screenplay is available for pre-order and will publish on December 14
